"Donor Alliance recognizes the important role Coroners and their staff play in our communities of  Wyoming. We also recognize that they are a vital link to the organ and tissue donation process." (Donor Alliance.org).  (Click on the logo above to go to the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank)

"At the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, our mission is to fulfill the wishes of eye donors and their families to help another overcome blindness. Coroner's can play a vital role in ensuring the death investigation does not interfere with making that wish come true. Because we both serve many of the same families, the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank is motivated to make our working relationships with funeral homes cooperative, smooth and long lasting."

As a nurse coroner, I have positioned myself and staff  to play a significant role in helping both grieving families and patients in need of lifesaving, life-enhancing tissue grafts by notifying Donor Alliance/Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank of any deaths that do not occur in a hospital.

It is my goal for the Coroner's Office to significantly increase the number of referrals and donations in the upcoming years.  As a nurse, I support, advocate and facilitate organ and tissue donation.
